Wikipedia Chain
From Games
The objective is to establish a chain of articles as long as possible on Wikipedia.
Start by choosing a page (any page) or using the random page function on Wikipedia.
Click on links to other articles, and carry on doing so until you reach a dead end or you must navigate back to a previously visited page. At this point the game ends, and you score one point for each article, excluding the first article.
If you use the random page function and arrive at a dead end, you may try again.
You may not navigate to user pages, image pages, talk pages, special pages, template pages (but you can click on a link on a template that is on a permitted page), and category pages.
You may not edit a page, but may procrastinate until somebody makes an edit that contains more links.
[edit] Alternative rules
Use the random page function twice to get two random pages. The objective is to go from the first page to the second page and back using as few links as possible. You may only visit the same page once (apart from the starting page) and may not use any of the forbidden pages listed above.
Use the random page function, and see if you can get to the wikipage for Adolf Hitler using the fewest links possible. You may not use any of the forbidden pages listed above.
